Why summer works

Summer is the secret weapon

A little math over the summer pays off all year. Here's what a focused break can do for your student.

No summer slide

Students can lose months of math over a long break. Light, steady practice keeps skills sharp for September.

Room to go deep

Without weekly tests looming, there's finally time to truly understand the tricky concepts — not just cram them.

A head start

Preview next year's course so day one feels like review. Confidence in the fall starts in the summer.

Choose your track

Four summer tracks

Every track is math-focused and available for grades 9 through early college — as private 1-on-1 tutoring or an in-person small-group class.

Catch-Up Track

Rebuild shaky foundations from the past school year, one concept at a time — so your student starts fall on solid ground instead of still playing catch-up.

Get-Ahead Track

Preview next year's course — Algebra II, Pre-Calc, or Calculus — before it starts. Walk into class already confident and a step ahead of the pace.

Test-Prep Intensive

Focused SAT & ACT math sprints timed for fall test dates. Concentrated practice, timing strategy, and steady score gains before the exam.

Keep-Sharp Track

Light, once-a-week sessions to prevent the summer slide. Low-pressure maintenance that keeps math fresh without eating up the whole break.

Summer questions

Good to know

When do summer programs run?

Summer tutoring runs throughout the break, from the end of the school year through mid-August. Start and end dates are flexible — we build the plan around your family's schedule.

Can we still tutor around vacations?

Absolutely. Plans are flexible — pause for a trip or a camp week and pick right back up. Just let us know your dates.

Are summer sessions 1-on-1 or group?

Your choice. Every track is available as private 1-on-1 tutoring over Zoom, or as an in-person small-group class of 3–10 students here in the greater Houston area.

How much do summer sessions cost?

The same as year-round: 1-on-1 tutoring is $39/hr for a new student's first 10 hours (regularly $55), and group classes are a flat $30/hr per student.

What grade levels and subjects are covered?

The same as our regular tutoring: grades 9 through early college, from Algebra and Geometry to Pre-Calculus and Calculus, plus SAT/ACT math prep.
