Frequently asked questions

Do you tutor subjects other than math?

No — and that's on purpose. AT Academy is a dedicated math tutoring service. Our sole focus on math is what allows us to teach it exceptionally well, from 9th grade through early college.

What grade levels do you work with?

We specialize in high school and early college — roughly 9th grade through freshman/sophomore college math, including AP courses.

Is the SAT/ACT prep only for the math sections?

Yes. Our test prep is math-focused and covers the quantitative and math portions of the SAT, ACT, AP exams, and college placement tests only.

What's the difference between 1-on-1 and group classes?

1-on-1 tutoring is private and fully personalized — just your student and the tutor, live over Zoom. Group classes are in-person, classroom-style sessions of 3–10 students all working through the same topic together, led by the tutor like a focused mini-class.

How does pricing work for each?

1-on-1 tutoring is $39/hour for a new student's first 10 hours (regularly $55). Group classes are a flat $30/hour per student — our most affordable option.

How big are the group classes?

Small — anywhere from 3 to 10 students, grouped by subject and level so everyone in the room is working on the same material. Class availability depends on current enrollment in your topic; just reach out and we'll find the right fit.
